Location: Site-based throughout the UK
Salary: £40,000 per annum plus bonuses

MAF Associates, a leading inspector of external walls and fire compartmentation based in Leicester, is seeking an experienced technician eager to make a significant impact in building safety and compliance. We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Onsite Building Technician to join our team, working as part of a specialized onsite group alongside our Chartered Engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough and invasive inspections of external walls of buildings to assess construction types and fire resistance.
- Undertake fire stopping compartmentation inspections to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.
- Identify potential risks and provide detailed reports on findings.
- Collaborate with project teams to implement safety measures and necessary rectifications.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all equipment and PPE are used according to safety protocols.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in building inspections or a related field is essential.
- Strong understanding of fire safety regulations and compartmentation techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in inspections.
- Ability to work independently and across various sites.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
