Job Title: Senior Fire Engineer
Location: Hybrid working, London and Leicester offices
Salary Package: Up to £100k + Share Options
Overview of the Role:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Fire Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead projects and manage both technical and commercial aspects, ensuring successful project delivery while maintaining a client-focused approach. Your expertise will encompass the full preparation of comprehensive bespoke engineering reports, leading calculations and analysis, and proactively managing internal project reviews. You will represent our company in external meetings with clients and Approval Authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple fire engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Develop and nurture client relationships through effective communication and successful project outcomes.
- Provide guidance and support to engineers and graduates on delegated technical tasks, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Stay updated on industry developments and continue your professional growth, aiming for Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
- Confidently address high-risk issues while consulting with senior team members to ensure proper resolution.
Suitability Criteria:
To thrive in this role, you should:
- Hold at least a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrate technical proficiency in English, articulating complex ideas clearly and accurately.
- Recognise the importance of in-office collaboration while also valuing flexible working arrangements that promote work-life balance.
- Possess substantial experience in an engineering consulting role, ideally within the fire engineering sector.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of the UK construction industry, project procurement processes, and RIBA stages.
- Be committed to ongoing professional development, including progressing through the CEng pathway.
- Exhibit strong project management skills, with the capability to manage multiple large projects simultaneously.
- Bring a sound technical skillset within fire engineering and a growing focus on specialized technologies or methods.
