Leon Butler : Technician

With over a decade of experience in the construction industry, Leon is a highly skilled Facade Technician and NVQ Level 3-qualified Painter and Decorator. During his career he has worked on a wide range of domestic, commercial, and industrial projects, including the stunning ‘Sayang’ house featured on Grand Designs, where he led internal decorations to an exceptional standard.

Leon joined MAF Associates in 2024 and specialises in invasive facade inspections, FRAEW (Fire Risk Appraisal of External Walls), and Type 2 and Type 4 compartmentation surveys. His thorough approach ensures detailed site inspection reports, and high-quality repair work. He is IOSH-certified in Managing Safety and has extensive experience in risk assessment and method statement preparation.

Leon’s dedication and leadership skills were recognised early in his career when he received the Suffolk Joint Construction Committee’s Apprentice of the Year Award in 2017. Known for his problem-solving mindset and strong people skills, Leon is passionate about delivering excellent results on every project, ensuring compliance with fire safety standards and exceeding client expectations.
